Digital Systems & Automation Specialist — English Home Libya
2023 – Present · Remote
- Built and operate a live operations platform connecting Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct, and Content Studio to a 4,700+ product catalog, with Arabic/English responses and human handoff for purchase intent.
- Designed durable PostgreSQL-backed jobs and a transactional outbox for reliable delivery, plus multi-admin authentication and audit trails; deployed the system on a VPS with Docker Compose, Caddy, and nightly backups.
- Created the data pipeline that assembles a full retail catalog and matches products visually and textually across Arabic, English, and Turkish while keeping price and identity tied to catalog evidence.
Learning Assistant II — FIU Mastery Math Lab
August 2024 – Present · ~20 hours/week
- Support Algebra, Precalculus, and Trigonometry students through mini-lessons, guided practice, and one-on-one tutoring in a large university math support program.
- Daily practice in technical communication: diagnosing misconceptions and explaining problem-solving strategies to students from very different backgrounds.

A self-hosted omnichannel platform running customer service and content operations for English Home Libya — catalog-true answers, photo recognition, reliable publishing, and human handoff.
- Problem
- A retail brand needs one reliable system for Arabic product questions, image-based identification, catalog pricing, social publishing, and human takeover across Facebook and Instagram.
- Contribution
- Designed, built, deployed, and operate the platform solo — message ingestion, matching engines, bilingual admin console, Content Studio, durable worker, and self-hosted infrastructure.
- Result
- Live for English Home Libya: catalog-true answers, exactly-once publishing controls, safety guards grounded in real incidents, and immediate human handoff when intent becomes commercial.

NOVA RAID — bare-metal Pico W arcade game
A complete retro space shooter in bare-metal C, released as a drag-and-drop UF2 — and fixed after its first run on real hardware exposed a defect no simulator caught.
- Problem
- The ST7796S panel takes roughly 39 ms to receive a full frame over SPI — by itself more than a 25 fps budget — on a dual-core Cortex-M0+ with no FPU (design calculations, not on-hardware measurements).
- Contribution
- Designed and wrote the whole game bare-metal, solo: the dual-core pipeline, 24.8 fixed-point math, DMA/SPI streaming, a testable HAL with a desktop host harness, and the release engineering.
- Result
- Released as drag-and-drop UF2s with green CI; the first run on real hardware exposed a panel-init defect no simulator caught — fixed and documented the same day in v1.0.1.

Pico W voice terminal & control plane
A hand-wired push-to-talk voice assistant: custom PIO audio capture on the device, streaming speech recognition and permission-gated tools in a self-hosted backend.
- Problem
- The SPH0645 microphone's pin arrangement made the stock I2S receiver unusable on this build — and a voice terminal needs the whole chain (capture, transport, recognition, tools) to hold together.
- Contribution
- Hand-wired the device, wrote the PIO/DMA capture firmware and display code, and built the standalone self-hosted control plane any WebSocket client can join as a device.
- Result
- A released two-repository system verified end-to-end by a fully offline integration test in CI; in use it typically responds within a couple of seconds (observed, not benchmarked).

Smart-home appliance controller
An Arduino climate/appliance controller with sensor-driven fan control, a four-mode state machine, and an over-temperature safety cutoff — built as a two-person university team.
- Problem
- Exercise the core embedded-systems toolkit — ADC sampling, PWM actuation, debounced GPIO, a single-wire sensor protocol, UART logging — as one coherent appliance controller on real hardware.
- Contribution
- A two-person team project with Paola Dorado Galicia: both of us are credited for design, firmware, and testing; I maintain the repository, documentation, and schematics.
- Result
- A working four-mode controller with a 35 °C safety cutoff, eight documented build states, a schematic in three formats, and a candid limitations list.

Miramar — bilingual business website
A live English/Turkish site for an Istanbul construction-materials supplier: static-first Next.js, a selective 3D scene with a static fallback, and a Playwright smoke suite.
- Problem
- An Istanbul construction-materials supplier needed a credible bilingual web presence: a real equipment catalog, an RFQ-style contact flow, and English/Turkish parity.
- Contribution
- Designed, built, and deployed the whole site solo — a typed content layer, documented server/client boundaries, and one deliberate 3D scene with a static fallback.
- Result
- Live at tr-miramar.com with a Playwright smoke suite green in CI and documented architecture, SEO, accessibility, and content-restraint rules.

Verified digital logic on FPGA
Small VHDL designs treated like real releases: exhaustive self-checking testbenches, CI simulation with GHDL, Vivado waveforms, and Basys 3 pin constraints.
- Problem
- Classroom digital logic usually ends at a waveform screenshot — unreproducible and unverifiable by anyone else.
- Contribution
- Rebuilt the coursework as real releases: self-checking testbenches sweeping the entire input space, GHDL simulation in CI, Vivado waveform captures, and Basys 3 pin constraints.
- Result
- 512 of 512 adder vectors and all 36 decoder vectors green in CI on every push; on-board bring-up is author-attested and labeled as exactly that.
